Our Children’s Ministry takes very seriously the responsibility to provide our children with a solid biblical foundation for the Christian faith. We teach the stories and principles of the Bible in ways that are understandable, age-level appropriate, and fun. We also teach the children the importance of the Bible to our faith and how to use their Bibles to grow in faith. We do this through…
Children’s Church –
In both the morning (English) and evening (Spanish) services (10:40 am), our children receive solid biblical teaching from caring, capable teachers. Children are dismissed from the worship service, both morning and evening, and should be picked up by parents at the end of the worship service. We encourage parents who are new to the congregation or visiting Oak Grove, to accompany their children back to Children’s Church so they can meet the teacher and see the room from which the children can be picked up following the worship service.
We plan other activities for the children throughout the year that provide opportunity for building relationships and learning life lessons.
We provide a safe, clean, caring environment for the care of our infants and toddlers during both the morning and evening worship services.
Child Protection Policy –
The safety of our children is of the utmost importance and we do everything we can to provide for it. A copy of the Child Protection Policy is available in the office for anyone who would like to read it.
Opportunities to serve: All volunteers must pass a background check. If you are interesting in investing in the spiritual development of our children in any way, please make an appointment to talk to Pastor Karen. There are many, many ways to be involved in children’s ministry and they vary greatly in the level of time, commitment, and training required.
